Spring and art festivals
9:26 pm cdt
And so it goes...spring has arrived in the Texas hill country bringing with it
a bounty of wildflowers that paint their way across the countryside and make living in this area an extreme delight and nourishes
the soul. Sweet fragrant scents fill the evening air as wild grape blossoms and various vine and wildflower species begin
a new season of growth and set the pace for a flurry of activity for insect and bird species. We welcome spring in Texas and
all the beauty it brings as gifts for each of us to experience.
Here at the studio, we've been preparing for art
shows out and about Texas. On April 7 & 8 (Easter weekend) Texas Hexes Designs will show at the Starving Artist Art Show
sponsored by The Little Church of La Villita. This year the festival will be located in downtown San Antonio between S. Presa
and S. Alamo Streets in the La Villita complex. A portion of all art sales from this show go to The Little Church of La Villita
as a fundraiser for the less fortunate of the city.
On April 14 & 15 Texas Hexes Designs will be at the Chappell
Hill Bluebonnet Festival just outside of Brenham, Tx. We're booth #6.
The gallery show is still open for those of
you who might enjoy visiting the Cathedral House Gallery in San Antonio. It's located just off Broadway and Patterson
on Torcido Dr. in the Episcopal Diocese of West Texas Building. The exhibit will be open through Easter. M-F 9-5
